The Springer Spaniel is a happy, even natured dog. He has the desire to please, which makes him a good dog to work with as well as a lovable companion.
The Springer requires a active family who will let him run free at least an hour every day, and who will let him take part in all the families outdoor activities. He also enjoys lazing around on the couch with you to enjoy a movie or just to have some quiet time. As long as he is with his family he will be a happy springer.
The springer is a medium sized sporting dog with a compact body and docked tail. His coat is moderately long with feathering on his legs,ears,chest, & brisket. Males are 20" in height and weigh approximately 50 pounds. A bitch will be 19" in height and approximately 40 pounds.
